A man holding onto a woman’s leg
Everybody seems to be in a hurry these days. People are either rushing to work, to school, to cut business deals, to party, heck people even rush to go home in the evenings. The hustle and bustle of the city seems to have forced people to be always on the move. Life has become one big market. Women have not been left out of the chase either. They have become aggressive in careers and in relationships. A woman can ask a guy out these days and hey, no apologies for that.
Women may be running fast and eating on a big plate, but are we running towards the right direction? Can we pause for a minute and re-evaluate our map? Are we covering so many miles in the wrong direction? Can’t we stop for a while and smell the roses? Ladies, these are my two cents on some of the things we chase daily.
On chasing love
• Being in love is the most beautiful feeling. True love doesn’t hurt. Let no man undermine your woman hood in the name of love. God has better plans for you than for him to watch you cuddle a teddy bear at night with tears. If you cry more than you laugh in that relationship you need to check whether you are with an onion or a man.
• Never chase love and affection so hard, if it is not given freely by the other person then it is not worth the chase.
• Guard those you love jealously and let them know how much you love them. tomorrow may be too late.
On chasing your dreams
• No one knows how many miles you have to cover while chasing your dreams. It may take a few months, years or decades. But if you persist in your pursuit, you will achieve your goals and your dreams will be as real as the oxygen you breathe.
• Don’t focus all your energy on getting the career of your dream and climbing the career ladder that you forget that when the night beacons, miss career will not cuddle you to sleep.
• Help as many women to go up with you. The more you give the more you get.
On chasing tomorrow
• If you chase tomorrow so hard you will miss to enjoy today which is a gift that is why it is called the present.
• When you chase two rabbits you will catch neither. Stop chasing tomorrow and the future badly. Nobody has ever lived in the future and came back to report how it was. Savor the present as if it were your last.
On chasing your passion
• Pursuing what you love to do is as fulfilling as having your favorite meal every day. Doing what you love will fulfill you and make each day worth living.
• When you turn your passion into work you will never have to work a day in your life.
On chasing men
• The only man you should ever run after is the man who has stolen your handbag.
• A man worth his salt will pursue you and he will catch you when you allow him to. He will have the balls to be the man. He will protect you, he will provide and he will profess his love for you.
• Never force yourself on a man who doesn’t give any two cents about you. Stop crossing oceans for men who won’t even jump paddles for you.
• Never be ashamed of not having a man in your life. Happiness comes from within. At the right time you will get a good man.
On chasing money
• Money will buy you a life style but not a life.
• Use money to improve the lives of other people as well. Support children’s home and sponsor a few kids to school.
On chasing the latest fashion trends
• The best outfit you will ever wear is confidence.
• Strive to stand out from the crowd by always wearing sharp outfits. Remember that people form an opinion about you within the first three minutes of looking at you.
• A good shoe and a good handbag will always cover over a multitude of imperfections.
• Never underestimate the power of red lipstick.
• Always walk tall – yes even when the high heels hurt.
• Never forget to wear a smile with all your outfits.
On chasing vanity
• Alcohol, drug abuse, immorality is all vanity. That void can only be replaced by God.
• Allow God to fill you and to equip you.
On chasing your identity
• Have the courage to be your true self
• You are unique and the world needs your uniqueness.
• If you are not happy with yourself don’t count on being happy with anyone else. Lauren Alexander
• Be a living unique signature.
